The IVV Olympiad – Everything you need to know about an event which is unique of its kind
The IVV Olympiad is the largest international event organised under the auspices of the International Federation for Popular Sports (IVV).
It takes place every two years in a different member country and brings together people from all over the world who share a love of exercise, nature, and human connection.
The term “Olympiad” was deliberately chosen to highlight the peaceful and unifying character of the event. Everyone is welcome – without time pressure or performance requirements, but with plenty of enthusiasm and heart.
The goal of the IVV Olympiad is to promote physical activity, international friendship, inclusion, and health. In addition to walking, the event also offers cycling, swimming, and a diverse programme of activities.
This fosters exchange across linguistic and national boundaries, helps build new connections, and strengthens the sense of community within the global IVV family.
