Welcome Message from the President of the IVV

Dear fellow walkers of the Luxembourg IVV Federation (FLMP),
friends of the International Federation for Popular Sports (IVV),
dear organisers and walkers of our federation,

I extend my warmest greetings to you all, as well as those of the entire IVV Executive Committee.

The IVV is not just an international non-competitive sports movement. It is also a cultural community, a federation of friendship which promotes brotherhood, cooperation and healthy encounters. It is a federation on a human scale. Each participant gives what they can to demonstrate the fundamental values of this unique federation.

From 16 to 19 June 2027, the FLMP will organise a special IVV event, held every two years in a different location. The name of this extraordinary event is: the IVV Olympiad.

This will be a special opportunity for both long-time walkers and those who wish to discover and join our federation. We look forward to seeing you in the heart of Europe – the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. We will be welcomed by the FLMP and by attentive and competent organisers, in an environment rich in history, traditions, culture and beautiful natural surroundings. What more could we ask for?

In addition to the core values of the IVV, there is now – more than ever – a new message that must be proclaimed and shared: PEACE!!!
