General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

for the Sale of Admission Tickets to the 20th IVV Olympiad – Online and On-Site

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to the sale of admission tickets for the 20th IVV-OLYMPIAD, both via online presale and on-site purchase at the box office. They apply to all buyers and participants, regardless of age, origin, group status, or special needs.

2. Organizer

The organizer is the Luxembourgish Federation for Popular Sports (Lëtzebuerger Wandersportverband).

3. Conclusion of Contract

For online purchases, the contract is concluded once the order is submitted via the ticket platform and confirmed via email.
For on-site purchases, the contract is concluded upon payment and receipt of the ticket.
By purchasing a ticket, customers accept these GTC.

4. Prices, Discounts, and Payment

Prices are stated in euros and include statutory VAT, where applicable, in accordance with Luxembourg law.
Discounts (e.g., for children, groups/clubs) are granted only upon presentation of valid proof.
Online payments are made via the specified payment methods.
On-site payments can be made in cash; additional payment options may be offered.

5. Ticket Delivery and Validity

Online tickets are handed out exclusively on-site.
Tickets are valid only for the selected event and the specified date. Multiple use is excluded.

6. No Right of Withdrawal / No Returns

According to Article L.222-9 (7) of the Luxembourg Consumer Code, there is no right of withdrawal for leisure activities taking place at a specific date or time.
Tickets are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
Exceptions (e.g., in case of illness or exceptional circumstances) may be granted as a goodwill gesture and without legal obligation. A handling fee applies.

7. Changes, Cancellation or Postponement

The organizer reserves the right to change the program, venue, or time, as long as the overall nature of the event remains unaffected.
In case of full cancellation, the ticket price will be refunded if the original ticket is presented.
In the case of postponement, tickets remain valid. Refunds are possible only after a separate notice.
Further expenses (e.g., travel, accommodation) will not be reimbursed.

8. Admission to the Event

Admission is only granted with a valid ticket.
The organizer strives to ensure access for people with disabilities. In case of special support needs, please contact us in advance.

9. House Rules and Safety

The organizer retains the right to enforce house rules.
Persons whose behavior endangers the safety or smooth running of the event may be denied entry or expelled from the premises. No ticket refund will be issued in such cases.
Bringing weapons, dangerous objects, or prohibited substances is strictly forbidden.

10. Liability

Participation in the event is at the participant’s own risk.
The organizer is liable only for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
The organizer accepts no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged tickets.

11. Data Protection

Personal data is collected, processed, and used in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Luxembourgish data protection laws.
Data is used solely for processing the ticket purchase and carrying out the event and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.

12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

The law of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg applies.
Jurisdiction – where legally permissible – is the seat of the organizer.
Should any provision of these GTC be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
